The monograph Excursion Flora of the Forests of Serbia should be a significant segment and an impetus to the creation of the comprehensive work Excursion Flora of Serbia, that will cover all our vascular plants. The monograph Excursion Flora of the Forests of Serbia, in addition to introduction and a short presentation of the major morphological features significant for the determination and description of forest plants, also presents the review of ferns, gymnosperms and angiosprems - the coenobionts of the forest communities in Serbia. There is a somewhat more complete morphological description than usual the floristic keys. Multiannual research and visits to the field are the sources of original photographs in this monograph. Only a small number of photographs have been taken over from other sources.
