Phyllonorycter leucographella - miner on the leaf of Pyracantha coccinea

Phyllonorycter leucographella is a species which gradually spreads throughout Europe. It was detected in September 2003 on the leaves of Pyracantha coccinea in the Arboretum of the Faculty of Forestry in Belgrade (Serbia) and on Kalvarija in Zemun (Serbia). As the finding of this species was new with us, it was made a more detailed investigation of its distribution in Serbia. However, except at the above two localities, it has not found at any other locality. As this species is already present in Serbia, and as it is probably going to spread, this paper presents some of its basic data.
