Cropping parameters in some one-crop cultivars in the region of Bar [Montenegro]

Over 1999-2000, cropping was studied in four fig cultivars (Susilica, Zimnica, Rezavica, Crna Patlidzanka) in the region of Bar, Montenegro. In compliance with the modern methodology of study by fig descriptor, cropping in fig is expressed via total (absolute) yield per tree and fruit number per shoot. The highest total yield was recorded in cv Crna Patlidzanka (69.33 kg/tree), and the lowest in cv Susilica (49.5 kg/tree). In fruits per shoot on average, whereas the lowest yield was registered in cv Zimnica (4.53 fruits/shoot). Falling off of florescence and unripened fruits varied, with the highest percentage recorded in cv Zimnica (51.43% as compared with the initial number of fruit set) and the lowest in cv Crna Patlidzanka (24.72%).
