Paper is focused on distribution of manganese and nikel in soils as well as on testing of relationships between selected soil parameters and content of manganese and nikel in individual fractions. A methodological process of selective sequential extraction according to Zeien and Brummer has been used for a file of 21 soils representing seven soil types (Haplic Chernozems, Mollic Fluvisols, Gleic Stagnosols, Eutric Fluvisols, Haplic Luvisols, Dystric Cambisols, Haplic Podzols) to evaluate bonds of manganese and nikel considering particular soil components. The distribution of manganese and nikel was analysed in the depth 0-10 cm, because the plant uptake is very active in this depth. Seven fractions of manganese and nikel were analysed: mobile (mob.), easily mobile (eas. mob.), occluded on Mn-oxides (occl. Mn), bound to organic matter (b.o.m.), bound by amorphous Fe-oxides (b.am. Fe), bound by crystallized Fe-oxides (b.cr. Fe) and residual fraction (res.). The Statgraphic 5.0 was used.
