Fresh Derris elliptica Aqueous (FDA) was effective on killing fly larvae. FDA at concentration of 10 g/L and over started killing fly larvae since 3 hours of contact. At the same concentration, 74 percent of fly larvae were significantly killed within 24 hours when compared to those in the control group (p LT 0.05). More than 90 percent of fly larvae were killed within 24 hours at concentrations of 20, 40 and 60 g/L. There was no difference in efficacy on killing fly larvae at concentration of 20 g/L and over of FDA. Therefore, FDA at concentration of 20 g/L, which contained 3.0 micro g/mL of rotenone, is effective and recommended in control fly larva population.
