Obtaining of new halogen substituted 2-styryl-8-acetyloxiquinolines as a potential growth stimulators in animal husbandry

New, non-described in literature, 11 halogen substituted 2-styryl-8-acetyloxiquinolines were obtained by interaction between 2-methyl-8-hydroxyquinolin and halogen substituted aromatic aldehydes in a medium of acetic anhydride and in the presence of anhydrous sodium acetate at temperature 160-165 оC. The yields of the newly synthesized compounds are from 23% to 88% of the theoretical ones. In the preliminary microbiological studies in vitro, tasted on the 6 strains pathogenic microorganismus, some of the compounds showed bacteriostatic effect against Staphyloccocus aureus and Bacillus anthracis similar or higher than the starting 2-methyl-8-hydroxyquinoline.
