Results of evaluation of indices of agronomic traits of 29 F1 hybrids of sunflower selected in the Republic of Belarus by sterile lines interbreeding method on the cytoplasm of Helianthus petiolaris were presented. In course of two year investigation (2005-2006) it was revealed that the variability indices of the analysed traits depended on the parental line genotypes and year conditions. Influence of crop height, calathid diameter, seed weight per calathid, seed yield, oil yield, seed huskness and oil content on variability of indices of agronomic traits of sunflower F1 hybrids was stated and analysed. Value and characteristic of agronomic traits (seed yield, oil content and oil yield) of early-maturing, mid ripening and mid-late ripening hybrids depending on crossing combination and investigation year were analysed. Nine hybrid combinations exceeded the standard indices of oil yield per hectar on 6,2-37,9%. There were selected two crossing combinations of M379/04A x M791/04Rf and M204/04A x M818/04Rf which were characterized by high competitive heterosis according to oil yield indices and plant resistance to Sclerotinia sclerotirum. Crossing of M379/05A and M702/04Rf parental lines showed the highest indices seed oil content (54,4%), seed yield (28,9 c/ha), oil yield (15 c/ha) and percentage of healthy seeds (86,7)
