Stalks, leaves, inflorescences of maize and corn cobs contain a significant amount pentosans and uronic acids. At chemical processing of these kinds of waste it is possible to receive heterocyclic aldehyde furfurol - valuable raw material for chemical industry. The theoretical output of this product has made 16 - 25% of the specified waste. Distinctive feature of agricultural waste is their high and active ash content, reaching 15,1 and 5,43% accordingly. Low density of loading and necessity of their crushing before carrying out of technological process of hydrolysis is the lack of the given waste at their industrial use. Processing of cores of corncobs and stalks of maize by autocatalytic way has given very low outputs of furfurol - 5,1 and 3,1% from weight of absolutely dry raw material accordingly. Research on use of described wastes at furfurol production with use of solution of the mixed catalyst containing a mix of acetic and sulphuric acids have been made. Solutions of acetic acid are the selective catalyst of conversion of the concentrated solutions of xylose into furfurol. Application of acetic acid as the catalyst during reception of furfurol is effective only when cindery elements of raw material are neutralized. It was offered to apply a solution of acetic acid jointly with strong mineral acid in reaction of reception of furfurol from vegetative raw material on direct vapour-phase way. Sulfuric acid was offered to apply for active ash content neutralization
