[The fauna of aquatic beetles (Coleoptera) and hemipterans (Heteroptera) of the old riverbeds in the Pripyatski National Park]

The fauna of aquatic beetles (Coleoptera) and hemipterans (Heteroptera) of the old river - beds in the Pripyatski National Park of the Republic of Belarus containing rare as well as protected species was studied. There were found the following 106 species of beetles and hemipterans: Haliplidae (7 species); Noteridae (2 species); Dytiscidae (46 species); Gyrinidae (2 species); Hydrophilidae (20 species); Hydraenidae (4 species); Dryopidae (2 species); Corixidae (9 species); Notonectidae (2 species); Pleidae (1 species); Naucoridae (1 species); Nepidae (2 species); Gerridae (5 species); Hydrometridae (1 species); Mesoveliidae (1 species); and Veliidae (1 species). Research results showed that the fauna of aquatic Coleoptera and Heteroptera was rich and represented by a number of species rare and protected in Belarus and Europe. The ecological conditions made it possible the existence of species typical for the main types of inland bodies. The old river-beds and their ponds with the main Prityat’ riverbed were the main elements of the whole nature complex Pripyatski having the hydrological and other signs of spring temporary ponds and even bogs
