Land exemption as a major natural resource is an important ecological indicator of energy sources functioning. By that it is reasonable to take into account actual, relative and specific land capacity of different energy sources. Landcapacity of energetics is directly connected with the use of land either as a spatial resource for location of all necessary objects or as a means of obtaining energy on the basis of exploitation of soil fertility for growing plant phytomass. The main sources of energy in conditions of the Republic of Belarus, which do not require considerable land areas are atomic energy, solid domestic wastes and biogas. A wide range of ecological problems connected with the location and exploitation of energy systems (effect on the soil, establishment of protective zones, etc) are solved within the system of land resources management. The most essencial ecological aspects of functioning of the energy complex are considered
