[Wild boar - the basic Macracanthorhynchosis reservent in forest biocenoses]

Wild boars in all three zoogeographical zones of Belarus invazed by biohelminth Macracanthorhynchus hirudinaceus (southern zone - 3,1%; central zone - 7,6% northern zone - 9,5%). Natural focal disease is peculiar to Macracanthorhynchosis in which wild boar is the main reservent of causal organism of invasion. Hence, the wild boar can play an essential role in bringing the infection of a giant thorn - headed worms Acanthocephala in pig - breeding economy of republic. This circumstance should be considered at planning of veterinary - sanitary actions for preventive maintenance Macracanthorhynchosis at house pigs
