[Prophylactic efficacy of the combined application of Kajod and Selerol for the pregnant nonmilking cows and their influence on milk quality indices]

Determination of the efficiency of the complex application of Kajodom and Selerol medicated drugs for the prophylaxis of iodine and selenium deficiency in pregnant cows and newborn claves sick with hypothyroidism and white - muscle disease in the conditions of animal husbandry farm of the Republic of Belarus was realized. Research results showed that treatment of pregnant nonmilking cows in course of 20 - 30 days before calving with Kajodom preparation prevented the development of hypothyroidism of born calves. Administration of Selerol preparation for the pregnant nonmilking cows prevented the deficit of selenium and diseases with diarrhea syndrome in calves. Combined application of studied preparations proved to be the effective preventive treatment against the development of hypothyroidism and white - muscle disease at the stage of colostric and milk feeding of calves. The increasing of average daily weight gain of the experimental calves (on 12 - 15% higher than in the control groups) was statistically proved. Complex investigation of milk quality of cows treated with Kajodom and Selerol showed that both medicated drugs increased milk quality and its technological properties
