The sugarbeet evapotranspiration (ET) in standard condition was determined in Kabotar- Abad Agricultural Reasearch station in Esfahan in the central plane of Iran for 3 growing seasons using lysimeter method. The evapotranspirtaion in none limiting water and nutrient condition was determinrd by water balance method. The seed was swon in April and sugarbeat was harvested in October. The mean growing season evapotranspiration for 1991-93 growing season were 868, 964 and 857 mm, and the corresponded accumulative class A pan evaporation were 1326, 1344 and 1380 mm, respectively. The averaged three years yields was 50 ton ha-1 and sugar content was 13 percent, and water use efficiency was 5.58 kg m-3 root yield and 0.71 kg m-3 sugar per cubic meter water, respectively. The averaged irrigation interval, numbers of irrigation per season were 10 days and 17 times, respectively.
