Study of different density effects on single cross and three way cross hybrids of corn.

An experiment was carried out at research station in Dasht –e- Naz ( Sari ) in 2002 – 2003 .The purpose of this research was to compare two single hybrids of corn( SC 604 and SC 647 ) and two three way cross cross hybrids of corn ( TVC 600 and TVC 647 ) in three densities ( 65000 "75000 and 85000 p.ha –1 ) using a factorial experiment in a radomized complete block design with three replications . Inter row space was 75 centimeters and each treatment was planted in four rows. Data were taken from two middle rows,with 9.80 m2 area .Moisture% was determined individually for each plot and finally grain yield was adjusted to 14 precent moisture.Combind analysis revealed significant difference between varieties for yield. The interaction between hybrids and densities was significant ( P%5 ) using duncan test. The best treatment was the combination of TVC647 and the density of 75000 p.ha –1 which yielded 10.11 t /ha.
