Study of winter planting possibility of spring rapeseed varieties in karaj region.
2005
Roudi,Davood
In order to study possibility of winter planting in Karaj as a mild cold region, this experiment carried out in seed an plant improvement institute (SPII) field for two years (1381-82 , 1382-83).Experimental design was split block with RCBD in four replications. Horizontal factor was planting date at three levels: 20/11/ , 5/12/ and 20/12/ , and vertical factor was rapeseed cultivars, consisted of :Hyola 401( hybrid ,Spring type), sarigol (OP. Spring type), Option 500( OP. Spring type) and Zarfam (OP. Winter type). Traits studied were morphological growth stage (initial flowering date, flowering end date , ripening date ), grain yield, plant height , pod per plant , seed per pod, seed weight and seed oil content. Annual variance analyze showed : planting date had significant effect on pod per plant , seed weight, oil percent and grain yield and varieties had significant differences for plant height , seed per pod, seed weight, oil content and grain yield(ل%5) for first year. The highest yield was for first planting date (2583 kg/ha) and among cultivars Hyola 401 and Zarfam had the most and the least grain yield with 2565 and 1629 kg/ha respectively. In second year, planting date had significant effect on branch number, pod per plant and seed per pod but had no significant effect on yield. In this year last planting date was not planted due to snowing. First planting date and second planting date had 2082 kg/ha and 2177 kg/ha grain yield without significant difference. Varieties had significant differences for pod per plant, seed per pod, seed weight, oil content and grain yield. The most and the least grain yield was belong to Hyola 401 and Zarfam with 2860 and 1288 kg/ha respectively.
