Daily pattern of lactate dehydrogenase activity in serum and content in liver of Per1-luciferase homozygous Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus) were assessed in serum by means of a commercial kit and in liver using the Western Blot. Results showed rhythmicity of LDH both in liver and serum with different waveforms and acrophases. This may be explained by the presence of the 5 LDH isoenzymes in serum, but not in tissues. The results show that LDH enzyme activity and protein levels have different daily pattern

[Sono stati studiati il ritmo giornaliero dell'attività della lattato deidrogenasi nel siero e il contenuto dell'enzima nel fegato di ratti omozigoti Wistar (Rattus norvegicus) transgenici (Per1-luciferasi), utilizzando per il siero un kit commerciale e per il fegato la tecnica Western Blot. I risultati hanno evidenziato la ritmicità della LDH, sia nel fegato, sia nel siero, con diverse ritmicità e acrofasi. Questo può essere spiegato dalla presenza di 5 isoenzimi nel siero, ma non nei tessuti.
