Influence of weeding in the ridge on the premise that basics chemical control of Yamagata prefecture [Japan] and control effect of new systematic insecticide,for Trigonotylus caelestialium (Kirkaldy)

On the premise that basics chemical control of Yamagata Prefecture, it was examinated that the management of ridge to effect of pecky rice. The recovery ridge and no management ridge, often it was not control to occurrence of pecky. Therefore, it is necessary to combine of ridge management and chemical control. In addition when chemical control was premise, it was prevented to occur of pecky rice that the no weed on ridge at chemical control. It was about 20 days from moving to recovery at weed of ridge. The moving at heading, it was prevented that chemical control just after moving of weed. It was examinated that the prevention effect of the new systematics insecticide (synthetic neonicotinoids) and granules for Trigonotylus caelestialium. In paddy field, adult bugs were catched at heading stage. At no processing ward and frequent occurrence ward of pecky rice, adults and nymphs were catched from the end of August to September. Occurrence the ward of synthetic neonicotinoids were little occure of next generation nymphes and adults, and there were little occur of pecky rice. The prevention effects were good. The once application of synthetic neonicotinoids granules had approximately equal prevention effect in the twice application of etofenprox. The proper application timing was about 7days later for heading.
