The evaluation of biological valuable woodland biotopes in Latvia: summary of academic dissertation for acquiring the Doctor's degree of forest sciences

英语. The inventory evaluation of woodland key habitats shows that for successful preservation of biological values in about 30 of cases it is necessary to carry out special management. Lichens are sensitive to the changes caused by anthropogenic factors; therefore they are used as indicators for analysis of conditions of nature sites. The aim of the PhD thesis paper is to evaluate the biological valuable biotopes woodland key habitats using the lichenoindicative method and the study of conditions of possibilities to maintain biological valuable biotopes in Latvia. Data have been collected in 41 of Latvia's research sites approbated by LSFRI Silava - in 19 coniferous (pine) woodland key habitats, 9 oak biotree woodland key habitats and in 13 black alder woodland key habitats. The analysis of the epiphytic lichens, its distribution and its coverage in percentage on the trunks at the height of 0.5 m and 1.5 m has been carried out. In total 52 epiphyte lichen species have been stated, from which 17 species were found in pine woodland key habitats, 28 species in oak biotree woodland key habitats and 33 species in black alder woodland key habitats. The diversity of lichen species does not differ within the studied subgroups, but a difference was observed in the percentage of lichen coverage by height 0.5 m and 1.5 m in pine and oak biotree woodland key habitats. Particularly protected species and species which need micro-reserves have been found only in oak biotree and black alder woodland key habitats. The exposition of lichen species depending on the cardinal points has been determined and analyzed. In all woodland key habitats a tendency was observed that a higher number of lichen species at the height of 0.5 m was found on the S, SE exposures, whereas at 1.5 m on the N, NW exposures, that can be explained by the interaction of light and moisture factors. Habitat specialist species and indicator species of woodland key habitats are found on all trunk exposures, which prove that they depend on the local characteristics of the research sites. The description and evaluation of ecological indicators of lichens in the research sites have been presented. In pine woodland key habitats, correlation between the number of species and the value of light ecological indicators of the sites has been found, but in oak biotree woodland key habitats – a negative correlation of light ecological indicator with the number of habitat specialist species and indicator species in the site, as well as positive correlation of tree age with the number of habitat specialist species and indicator species. In its turn, in black alder woodland key habitats there is a negative correlation between light and moisture ecological indicators: the higher the moisture ecological indicator, the higher the number of species. Moreover, the larger basal area of coniferous trees in the site determines the higher lichen moisture ecological indicator. The possible types of management of woodland key habitats have been analyzed.

拉脱维亚语. Dabisko meža biotopu inventarizācijas izvērtējumi liecina, ka sekmīgai bioloģisko vērtību saglabāšanai aptuveni 30 % gadījumos ir nepieciešams veikt speciālu apsaimniekošanu. Ķērpji jutīgi reaģē uz antropogēno faktoru radītajām izmaiņām, tāpēc tiek izmantoti kā dabas objektu stāvokļa analīzes indikatori. Promocijas darba mērķis ir bioloģiski vērtīgo biotopu izvērtējums ar lihenoindikatīvo metodi un bioloģiski vērtīgo biotopu uzturēšanas iespēju nosacījumu izpēte Latvijā. Pētniecības uzdevumu risināšanai izmantots 41 LVMI Silava aprobēts objekts (19 priežu, 9 ozolu un 13 melnalkšņu dabiskie meža biotopi), kuri izvietoti visā Latvijas teritorijā. Objektos veikta epifītu ķērpju, to sastopamības un procentuālā seguma analīze uz stumbriem 0.5 m un 1.5 m augstumā. Kopumā konstatētas 52 epifītu ķērpju sugas, no kurām priežu dabiskajos meža biotopos sastopamas 17 sugas; ozolu biokoku dabiskajos meža biotopos - 28 sugas un melnalkšņu dabiskajos meža biotopos - 33 sugas. Ķērpju sugu daudzveidība neatšķiras pētīto dabisko meža biotopu apakšgrupu ietvaros, bet atšķiras ķērpju procentuālais segums uz stumbriem 0.5 m un 1.5 m augstumā priežu un ozolu biokoku dabiskajos meža biotopos. Īpaši aizsargājamas sugas un sugas, kurām veidojami mikroliegumi, konstatētas tikai ozolu biokoku un melnalkšņu dabiskajos meža biotopos. Noteikta un analizēta ķērpju sugu ekspozīcija uz stumbriem. Visos dabiskos meža biotopos vērojama tendence, ka lielāks ķērpju sugu skaits 0.5 m augstumā ir stumbra D, DA ekspozīcijā, savukārt 1.5 m - Z, ZR ekspozīcijā, ko var pamatot ar gaismas un mitruma faktoru mijiedarbību. Dabisko meža biotopu speciālās biotopu un indikatorsugas uz stumbriem sastopamas visās stumbra ekspozīcijās, kas liecina, ka tās ir atkarīgas no objektu lokālajām īpašībām. Dots ķērpju ekoloģisko rādītāju raksturojums un novērtējums objektos. Priežu dabiskajos meža biotopos konstatēta sakarība starp sugu skaitu un gaismas ekoloģiskā rādītāja vērtību objektos, bet ozolu biokoku dabiskajos meža biotopos – gaismas ekoloģiskā rādītāja negatīva korelācija ar kopējo speciālo biotopu un indikatorsugu skaitu objektā, kā arī koku vecuma pozitīva korelācija ar speciālo biotopu un indikatorsugu skaitu. Savukārt melnalkšņu dabiskajos meža biotopos negatīvi korelē objekta gaismas un mitruma ekoloģiskie rādītāji: jo lielāks mitruma ekoloģiskais rādītājs, jo lielāks sugu skaits objektā. Pie tam lielāks skujkoku šķērslaukums objektā nosaka lielāku ķērpju mitruma ekoloģisko rādītāju. Analizēti un ieteikti piemērotākie apsaimniekošanas veidi dabiskos meža biotopos.
