Analysis of renewable energy sources, which are available in the North-West of Russia (solar and wind energy and others), is presented; basic applicable transfer technologies are considered; investigation outcomes are cited concerning solar-thermal energy transfer to heat the heat-carrying agent when drying agricultural raw materials and the use of wind-driven power plants for energy supply of remote farms.
