The mixed stands are important link in production potential of Polish agriculture. Cereal mixtures are cultivated on large areas of Poland - 1563.7 thous. ha. There are regional differences in cultivation of cereal mixtures. Actually, the areas with the biggest share of cereals mixtures are located in the north-eastern part of Poland. Utility value and some agrotechnical elements of cereal mixtures are presented in the paper. The grain of the hull-less cultivar (Akt, Polar) makes new quality because of low fibre content as well as hight protein and fat concentration. The hull-less oats (in mixtures) can be used in all animal feeds and in the food industry (in pure stands). The cultivation of cereal mixtures and cereals-legume mixtures in organic farming and sustainable agriculture is necessary in cereal crop rotation
