Proecological activity of farmers from Wielkopolska [Poland]

In this article there are presented the Wielkopolska farm producers' opinion on the knowledge of the problem of agriculture's influence on the environment, threats connected with agricultural production, actions undertaken for the benefit of environmental protection, participation in agri-environment programmes. Research results show, that among many farmers it was generally believed that conventional agriculture is not a threat for environment. This opinion the fact of using only natural production means or insignificant amounts of chemical agents. To the most important actions, which are necessary for environment protection, respondents consider water, soil and atmosphere protection, limitation of pest control agents and fertilizers and ecological agriculture promotion
