The diaspore bank of the loess soil in the cultivated field and the long-lasting fallow with reference to the floristic composition of phytocoenoses

In this work were presented the results of field study on species composition of plant communities developed in the 10-year-old fallow and in the neighbouring winter wheat field according to Braun-Blanquet method as well as the number and distribution of diaspores in the 0-20 cm loess soil layer. The community developed on the fallow was floristically richer than in the cultivated field. While the former was dominated by perennial meadow and ruderal taxons with substantial presence of trees and shrubs, the latter consisted of annual segetal weeds
