Pesticide residues in Polish crops of different production systems origin

The nutrition habits are more important factor having influence on man development and condition of his health, and the quality of foodstuff plays in it an essential role. Official control of pesticide residues in Polish crops was carried out in 2005 and 2006 on the order of Plant Health and Seed Inspection Services, financed by grants of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and included in 2005 and 2006 the determination of 98 and 104 compounds in 732 and 954, 378 and 344 as well as 96 and 89 samples from conventional, integrated and organic production sites, respectively. Comparison of the samples from different production sites showed that residues in the organic samples were significantly lower than in two other categories of samples
