The aim of the experiments was to estimate the efficacy of herbicide mixtures in maize. The combination used in the experiments: Groblice: Titus 25 WG + Trend 90 EC + Callisto 100 SC, Titus 25 WG + Trend 90 EC + Banvel 480 SL, Maister 310 WG + Actirob 842 EC + Mustang 306 SE, Dual Gold 960 EC + Guardian 840 EC. Kalinowice: The first three combinations as in Groblice, the fourth: Lasso 480 EC + Trophy 768 EC. Weed control effectiveness was determined by a visual assessment 3-5 weeks after spraying. On alluvial soil in Groblice the grass weeds such as: Echinochloa crus-galli and Seteria spp. were dominating. The first two herbicide mixtures were very effective against grass and broadleaf weed species. On brown soil in Kalinowice Echinochloa crus-galli and 12 dicotyledonous weed species were observed. The all of weeds occurring in trial were effectively controlled by the first two herbicide mixtures
