Seeds of Australian Cedar (Toona ciliata) were stored at 27ºC (laboratory), 4ºC (refrigerator), 18ºC (freezer) and 196ºC (nitrogen liquid). Every month the germination of the seeds was tested. After 1 year´s conservation, the seeds stored at both 27 and 4ºC showed practically no germination. However, 80 95% of seeds stored at 18 or 196ºC germinated. Application of these procedures for storage of germplasm is discussed.
