Chopped maize silage transport losses from field to silo facility

The silage transport losses for the chopping lengths and moisture examined did not exceed 0.14% of the total yield or average silage weight in the trailer. The losses were smaller with greater silage chopping lenghts obtained and the transport was performed using special-purpose trailers for larger volumes of silage.
