According to the available data, in Vojvodina (Serbia) the number of horses has been decreasing every year. The reason for carrying out this survey about horses at private farm households in Vojvodina region (Serbia) is the establishment of the following aspects: the size of horse stable, breeding, gender structure, age structure, feeding, drinking, holding and hygienic conditions and social behaviour. This survey covers the number of 128 horses, out of which 49 belong to 15 individual horse breeders, 69 belong to one farm stud, and 10 is housed in two riding clubs. During one whole year, housing and management conditions in relation of equine welfare were recorded and analyzed, especially those who may have a bad influence on animals.
