The main goal of this experiment was to investigate, in controlled conditions on Wistar race rats, possibility of immune system stimulation by Helleborus odorus. Obtained results of hematology analyses show increment of rats immune system nonspecific mechanisms activity (increase of leukocytes total number and number of granulocytes), treated by underground organs of Helleborus odorus. Thereby, possibility of further Helleborus odorus appliance is opened, as exogenous immune-modulator which change activity level of immune system components in rats and other animal species as well.
