[Creation and usage of perennial grass stands]

The results of long term investigations on creation and usage of pure and mixed grass stands in different natural-climatic West Siberia Zones are considered. The promising forms and varieties for field and meadow grass cultivation are proposed, their biological features of over ground mass and root system formation, subject to cultivation conditions, are shown. Most productive grass mixtures for sowing on drained peat bog, chernozem, flood plane, light grey forest and complex saline soils are recommended. The influence of organic and mineral fertilizers on productivity, botanical composition and nutritional value of sowed and natural grass stands in various West Siberia Zones is considered. The efficient technological methods of intensive hay cutting, pasture usage and perennial grass stands production longevity renewal are shown. The monograph is intended for researchers, teachers, post graduates and students with agronomical professions, as well as for specialists and managers in agricultural production.
