Yield of grass-leguminous mixtures depending on the botanical composition and fertilization with nitrogen

The effect of four N rates (0, 70, 140, and 210 kg N/ha) on DM yield of pure alfalfa crop and its mixtures with cocksfoot, tall fescue and sainfoin were studied. Presence of significant differences was determined in achieved yields of mixtures under the influence of N fertilization and depending on the type mixture for both level of significance. The highest yields of DM in both years was realized by alfalfa in pure crop - 6.81 and 15.91 t/ha, where as variants without N in the first year realized the highest yield 5.74 t/ha, and with 210 N kg/ha the highest yield was recorded in the second year 16.31 t/ha.
