Development of wheat haploid embryos in vivo

Development of wheat haploid embryos obtained after crossing with maize was investigated in this work. Wheat cultivars Chinese Spring and Salmon were used as mother parents, while pollen donor parent was Zea mays var. ceratina. Embryo development in vivo was followed by continual measurement of embryo size.
