The aim of our experiments was to study the regulation of the expression of protein kinase G (PKG), MAP kinase (ERK1,2) and phosphotyrosine (PhT) in porcine ovarian granulosa cells cultured in vitro. Gilts were divided in two groups according to the sexual maturation (sexually immature gilts and sexually mature gilts). By immunocytochemistry we determined, that sexual maturation of gilts is associated with the expression of PKG, ERK1,2 and PhT. It was observed that dbcAMP (analog cAMP), insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) and oxytocin (OT) influenced the expression these kinases during sexual maturation in gilts. These data demonstrate that in pigs PKG, ERK1,2, PhT, cAMP, IGF-I and OT control gonadal functions and sexual maturation.
