[Syntaxonomic overview of Fagetalia gender forest communities in Pieniny National Park]

The Pieniny National Park creates the boundary territory on the north-east part of Slovakia and according its specific flora it creates individual phytogeographical district, which is the part of region flora of the Central Carpathians (Futak, 1966). Natural conditions, as well as geology, surface and specific mezo- and microclimatical conditions have eminent effect on evolution of flora. The special effect is given by Belianske Tatry Mt. In this article we present the first-fruits geobotanicai results about forest communities in the Pieniny National Park namely ordo Fagetalia. We slate these associations from alliance Fagion Lunquet 1926: Carici pilosae-Fagetum Oberd. 1957, Dentario glandulosae-Fagetum W. Matuszkiewicz 1964, Carici albae-Fagetum Moor 1952, Clematido alpinae-Fagetum (Sill. 1933) Fajmonova et Simekova 1981, from alliance Tilio-Acerion Klika 1955 ass. Scolopendrio-Fraxinetum Schwickerath 1938, Arunco-Aceretum Moor 1952, Lunario-Aceretum Schluter in Gruneberg et Schluter 1957 and we given brief phytocenological and ecological characteristics.
