Use of biomorphoregulators in floricultural practice

Besides mechanical intervention, habitus changes of plants can also be reached by the use of biomorforegulators. The work reports on possibilities of using a Benzi preparation to change the habitus of the plant Hibiscus rosa sinensis, which is currently one of the most demanded indoor flowering plants. An active substance of the synthetic preparation Bonzi is paclobutrazol added at different concentration, which has .a positive effect on growing the said plant. The results from testing showed that Bonzi-treated plants are more effective in the aesthetic aspect, with more vivid leaves and thicker flower stalks. The preparation has no universal effect. Its response to flowering time may be different in individual plant varieties, or species, which makes him suitable for use in technological processes of growing the above plant. Bonzi has no side adverse influence.
