英语. Conjunctive inflammation with the further formation of condensed exudate films on its surface is found out to be stipulated by beta-haemolytic Streptococcus infection. The base of tissue changes is formed by infiltration of the conjunctiva, preferably by lymphocytes (90-95%), that witnesses on a slow-type hypersensitivity reaction. The rational treatment lies in the combined use of etiotropic therapy (tetracyclin ointment) and pathogenetic treatment (subconjuctival dexazone injections).
