Effect of growing media on runner plant production of Raiho strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa Duch.) were determined in a plastic house. Results showed that there were non significant differences in chemical and physical properties among treatments before and after the experiment. More soil mixture in the media decreased the survival percentages of strawberry plants. Only few growth media from this study increased more number of runners and number of runner plans than others. However, non significant difference in crown size and number of leaves of runner plants were observed among treatments. To improve runner production under sky-runner system, a growth media with good pore-size distribution is recommended.
