The effect of eggs morphological quality on the weight of the newly hatched Hy line chickens

The study was carried out with 32- и 55-week old hybrid layers HY LINE. The eggs of the two groups were divided according to the weight of the eggs - 55 g and 60 g. The following indices were determined: the weight of yolk; the weight of white; the weight of shell; thickness of shell; index of the form. During the period of incubation a record was kept of the following traits: the number of non-fertile eggs; the number of dead embrios; the weight of the eggs with a live embrio at the 7th and 18th week. It was obtained that the eggs morphological quality had an influence on the weight of one-day old chickens. During the period of incubation the chickens descending from the youngest parents had the highest weight.
