Studied is the influence of different possible sowing dates in sweet corn over the general number and the yield of standard ears of two new Bulgarian sweet corn hybrids with a view to ensuring fresh production by stages under conditions without irrigation. Production by stages of fresh sweet corn under conditions without irrigation from the investigated new Bulgarian sweet corn hybrids proved to be possible though to limited extent, during years having normal agroclimatig conditions. The general number yield and weight of standard ears in the different sweet corn hybrids vary greatly according to the genotype and the sowing dates through the year which it must be taken into consideration in the sweet corn growing by stages. Later sowing dates are risky depending on the agroclimatic conditions and may lead to no standard production.
