Comparative Investigations on Productivity and Quality of Bulgarian and Foreign Wheat Varieties

During the 2004-2007 in experimental field of the Institute in Chirpan a field trial for comparative investigation on productivity and quality of Bulgarian and foreign. Durum wheat varieties was carried out, The results from testing of the varieties showed that on productivity French varieties Beleno and Durumko surpass standard variety Progress from 2.3-2.6% but step back of variety Vazhod with 6.2-6.9%. On the biochemical and technological qualities. Durum varieties Atila, Durumko and Burgos surpass standard with 0.4-1.0% on content of crude protein, On the content of wet gluten all foreign varieties step back of Bulgarian varieties with 3.20-9.47%.
