A scientific-production experiment was carried out with 24 fattening pigs from the Landrace breed. They were divided equally into three groups. It was found that feeding with compound feeds balanced on energy - 12.0-12.3-12.4 MJ DЕ / kg, protein - 18.0-15.5-13.2% and lysine - 7.5-7.5-6.0% during the periods of growing and fattening with only one cereal grain ingredient – maize or sorghum, and equal amounts of maize and sorghum did not influence the food intake, growth rate, feed conversion ratio of the compound feed and nutrients. There were no differences in the slaughter traits, chemical composition of m. longissimus dorsi and meat quality of the animals which received compound feeds with different grain ingredient.
