[Influence of inbreeding on potato quantitative characters]

The dynamics of quantitative characters of potato (productivity, number of tubers on a plant, average mass of a tuber, starch content, selection productivity) in the course of inbreeding is analyzed. It was shown that change in process of an inbreeding of all studied characters has a periodic character. During five inbred generations two minima and one intermediate maximum were observed for all characters. The special place among inbred generations occupies S3. Four from five characters had an intermediate maximum on this generation. A number of tubers on a plant and a starch content were characterized by a minimum level of inbred depression, a productivity and a tuber mass had an average level. Inbred forms in S2, S3 and S5 had a level of selection productivity more then hybrids
