At present in the Republic of Belarus May chafer is a wide-spread pest in fruit crop nurseries and forest stands. The phytophage number in the inspected nurseries has made from 0,5 to 6 larvae/square m. The biological efficiency of a preparation Melobass against May chafers is evaluated. It is established that pre-planting treatment of apple rootstock root system by the preparation suspension and also the application of a biological preparation Melobass in soil before planting has decreased a percentage of dying out rootstock nearly 2 times in comparison with the control. With preparation application in soil by working suspension watering method during plant planting the biological efficiency (by the percentage of dying out plants) has made 75,6%
