Trichogramma pintoi; control biologico efectivo de Plutella xylostella (Lin.) en col (Brassica oleraceae var. capitata L.)

西班牙语; 卡斯蒂利亚语. El trabajo tuvo por objetivo introducir la especie Trichogramma pintoi (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae) para el control de Plutella xylostella (L.) (Lepidoptera: Yponomeutidae) en col. Contó de dos etapas: la primera (1992), donde se realizó la evaluación del grado de control de la plaga; la segunda, desarrollada durante 2 campañas (1993-94 y 1994-95), en condiciones de producción y durante dos fechas de siembra diferentes, con la evaluación del efecto combinado de T. pintoi y Bacillus thuringiensis. T. pintoi resultó un efectivo control de huevos de P. xylostella a dosis de 100 000 - 500 000 ind./ha en dependencia de la población de la plaga, logrando una drástica reducción de ésta, aún cuando exista elevada presencia de adultos. B. thuringiensis resultó efectivo, cuando se utilizó una concentración de 7 x 1011 y 1 x 1012 esporas/ha. Su empleo combinado con T. pintoi posibilita reducir el número total de aplicaciones y/o liberaciones. Es el primer trabajo realizado en el país donde se utiliza Trichogramma para el control de P. xylostella.

英语. The work had as an objective to introduce the species Trichogramma pintoi (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae) to control Plutella xylostella (L.) (Lepidoptera: Yponomeutidae) in the cabbage crop. It consisted of two stages: the first one (1992) where the evaluation of the pest control rate was made; the second one with the evaluation of the combined effect of T. pintoi and Bacillus thuringiensis, developed during two seasons (93-94 and 94-95) under field conditions and in two differents planting dates in every season. T. pintoi turned out to be an effective control on eggs of P. xylostella at doses of 100 000 - 500 000 insects/ha depending upon the pest population, achieving a huge reduction of the pest, even with a high level of adults' presence. B. thuringiensis was effective when used at concentrations of 7 x 1011 and 1 x 1012 spores/ ha. The combined use of it with T. pintoi allows to reduce the overall number of applications and/or insects releases. This is the first work made in our country about the use of Trichogramma to control P. xylostella.
