Date bunch fading disorder is one of the most important problems of date production industry of IRAN. The recent studies showed that weather fluctuations specially sudden drop of air humidity joint with high temperature and blowing hot and dry winds during fruit transition from khalal to Rutab stage have had significant influence incidence and development of this disorder .In order to study of effects of some plant growth regulator on reduce damage of date bunch fading with insist on thinning characteristics an experiment was curried out in Jiroft area and Bushehr province during 2002-2003. This experiment was designed as a complete factorial arranged in a completely randomized block design with 4 replication on 36 trees Mozafti and Kabkab cultivars. The treatments were: A: Gibberlic acid (GA) (100, 150, mg/L), B: Etephan (ET) (300, 400 mg/L) C: Benzyl adenine (BA) (100, 200 mg/L) D: Naphthalene acid acetic (NAA) (50, 100 mg/L) and E: Control Treatments were applied two weeks after pollination. The data were analyzed with MSTATC. The results showed that GA and NAA significantly decreased damage and increased length, weight fruit and also it caused thinning bunch. BA significantly increased diameter fruit. Plant growth regulators affected fruits weight, length and diameter. Application of Plant growth regulators in date palm needs to more study.
