Today, storage of cut flowers is very neccesery in marketing and export of cut flowers and vase life is the most important way for determine of flower price. This experiment was carried out to evaluate increasing vase life and quality postharvest of gladiolus, tuberose and matthiola cut flowers, by using chemical treatments in 2001-2002 in the national ornamental plant research center. This experiment in 3 separate experiment, was conducted in factorial experiment in a compeletely randomized design. At this experiment were conducted to study the effect of two physiological stages of harvesting and effect of 9 chemical treatment (20 chemical treatment about gladiolus) on longevity and quality characteristics. Also about matthiola, end of stem treatment was studied. This experiment was carried out in similar experiment condition and adapted with stages of flower export of Iran. Cut flower longevity, vase life, rate of decorative, fresh weight, soluble solids, flower diameter and, flower opening. Were measured and the data were statistically analyzed.in three kind of flower, longevity and some other qualitative chatacteristics of flowers that were cut at bud-stage, were significantly improved. Also between matthiola end of stem treatments, mashed stem end, split stem have significantly in creased the longevity. Results about bud gladiolus flower showed 1000 ppm potassium nitrate and 8 – hydroxy qhinolin citrate with 9.5 days and about open gladiolus flower silver nitrate. with 9.66 days have the most significant effects. Results about bud tuberose flower showed 1900 ppm potassium nitrate with 9.33 days and after that sodium hypochlorite with 9.11 days and, about open tuberose 1900ppm potassium nitrate with 8.99 days significantly increased the longevity. About bud matthiola flowers with mashed stem end sodium hypochlorite treatment with 10.4 days and about open matthiola flower with split stem end sodium hypochlorite treatment with 9.53 days have most signiticantly increased.
