Identification of weed flora and study of comparative phenology with henna(Lawsonia inermis L.)

In order to identify of weeds and study of comparative phenology with henna (Lawsonia inermis L.), a survey was carried out in the main henna growing area of the Iranshahr (Dalghan) during 2003-2005. Results showed that weeds consisted of 8 species that belonged to 6 families. The highest frequency and uniformity of weeds included: Cynodon dactylon, Chloris virgata, Cyperus rotandus, Dactyloctenium egyptiacum. Phenological stages of henna in comparison to Bermudagrass showed that Bermudagrass have a longer growth period.
