To study of Najas extraction instead of geberlic acid in panicle exsertion and pikelet opening time in rice

Many key factors have been determined in hybrid seed production. But geberlic acid is one of the most important factor for panicle exsertion from flag leaf and increasing of spikelet opening time. Although, geberlin role in hybrid rice seed production is important but the cost of applying is a limitation an obstacle in versus hybrid rice technology. In this study, we have investigated the extraction of Najas plant instead of geberlic acid. The solution of Najas extraction with different dosages (20 , 40, 60 percent ,GA3, KH2PO4 and Check (without any materials) were used as treatments in randomized complete block design with three replications in two different conditions ( paddy field and green house) .Some important traits such as plant height, rate of panicle exserted from sheath, panicle length, the last internode length and panicle exsertion were recorded. Results of analysis have shown significant difference ( p%1) only for plant height in both conditions. Mean comparison on different dosages of plant extraction clearly showed that 60% dosage of Najas was better than others as well as KH2PO4 treatment.
