Damage of heat and deficit of water on the crop plant don't cover every body. Therefore in crop plants especially grapevine, which they involve with unflavored conditions of drought stress, resistance to the drought stress to evidence of yield reduction is very important. Therefore identification and using of grapevine with tolerance to the drought stress is one of the most importance aims in grape breeding programs in Qazvin province. Indirect selection of drought tolerance was on the base of morphological characteristics and genotypes with adapted characteristics to the drought stress tolerance were identified and selected in spring of 2002. For this aim, a design in RCBD, and 4 replications were done. Characteristics, that they were studied in Gazvin grape genotype collection, were: relative capacity of leaf water, leaf diameter, leaf area index, leaf hair and ripening time. Data were analyzed that genotypes with morphological phenotypes to drought tolerance were Chafteh, Molaei and Syahangoor. Then from those genotypes cutting were obtained and planted in nursery for 2 years. Plants were planted in experimental field in RCBD. In the other year those genotypes treated with 4 drought stress treatment. Drought stress treatments were irrigated to end of May, June, July and August. Data from this stage were analyzed with SPSS software and sensitivity index to the drought stress were calculated. Chafteh was known as the best tolerable genotype to the drought stress in Gazvin province.
