Differences in inflorescence architecture among varieties of Gypsophila paniculata L were investigated. Varieties whose average number of florets per dichasium is high and total number of dichasia is low had greater total number of florets. Two principal components account for 88.4% of the total variance among varieties in the analysis of inflorescence architecture. The data suggests that the first principal component (60.7%) and the second principal component (27.6%) show a relationship between the number and size of florets within the dichasium and the shape of inflorescence, respectively.
