The content of this work comprises an analysis of productive and economic problems encountered in the production of organic food, such as potatoes. It was found that due to the problems with disease and pest control, the percentage of this plant cultivated in organic farms is lower than the average in agriculture. A significant part of potatoes in a balanced production system justifies an increase in their production
